You can easily fly between the countries or take a ferry from Rameshwaram in India in the south east to Talaim-annar in Sri Lanka. There is also an ancient bridge underneath the ocean between the two countries called Adam’s Bridge which is steeped in local legend and is only 3ft under the water in places.
