Due to security procedures no one is permitted to view the cockpit whilst the aircraft is airborne, however if you speak to a steward/stewardess during your flight and the pilot agrees, it may be possible for the children to meet the Captain and see the cockpit once the aircraft has landed and most passengers have disembarked. It's worth reminding the staff of your interest, as they may forget and your children could end up being disappointed.
